Foundation Cracks, Failing Steel Supports, and a Bowing Floor

A real Appalachian Foundation Services project: stabilizing a home whose floor supports were giving way.

The Signs

Three things told us this home needed additional support: foundation cracks, failing steel supports, and a bowing floor. On their own, each is worth a look.

Together, they point to a floor system that is no longer carrying its load the way it should, with the weight above no longer reaching solid support below.

What We Did

We replaced the existing, failing steel supports, installed Power Posts, and added a steel beam to carry the load. That combination puts solid, adjustable support back under the floor and gives the structure a proper path to transfer weight, bringing stability and support exactly where the home needed it.

Seeing cracks, uneven floors, or supports that look like they are failing?

Appalachian Foundation Services will inspect the structure and tell you honestly what it needs. No guesswork, no pressure.
